Six Senses Con Dao, the first 5 star resort in the archipelago islands, is reached by daily flights, of just 45 minutes, from Ho Chi Minh City.

With a passionate commitment to supporting and protecting the environment, Con Dao has been built with the very lightest ecological footprint. Our 50 villas sit up along a mile of sandy beach, sheltered by the green forested hills behind and with stunning vistas of the deep blue sea and the curve of the bay. All building materials are from natural, sustainable sources and local where possible. The teak is reclaimed from the Vietnamese interior and includes more than a thousand beautifully carved antique panels.

Accommodations – Six Senses Con Dao

Six Senses Con Dao presents elegantly designed modern accommodations offering generous personal space with lush tropical mangrove vegetation and breathtaking views. There are 50 spacious villas, each have their own private infinity pool and unobstructed views of the East Vietnam Sea. Styles range from single-level to duplex and offer one, three and four bedrooms, with indoor-outdoor bathrooms. The efficient design style reduces air conditioned spaces whilst providing additional natural ventilation.

Vietnamese by the Market
The heart of any home is the kitchen. The heart of Six Senses Con Dao is its Vietnamese kitchen, known as Vietnamese by the Market. Ms Len and her team cook authentic delicacies over charcoal flamed woks or in wood-fired ovens. Noodles, rice, soups, rolls and wraps to order. The best ‘street’ food you’ve ever tasted. If you want to learn the skills, we hold daily cooking classes.

By the Beach
The main restaurant with panoramic ocean views and gentle sea breezes. Offering locally caught seafood, fruit, vegetables and herbs bursting with flavour. Chef Richard Lee takes traditional Vietnamese recipes and adds his own twist. Let’s call it Asian fusion with a hint of colonial French. Dinner, overlooking the moonlit sea, offers daily specials of delicately flavoured, beautifully cooked dishes.

If you can tear yourself away from our magnificent softly curving pool by the beach with mature mahogany tress to provide shade, you might want to take a boat trip to a nearby island or sail a hobie-cat through the enchanting waters of the East Vietnam Sea.

• Water sports – our long, flat, sandy beach is ideal we have many activities including kayaking, Hobie cats, basket boats, surf boards and boogie boards for our guests to enjoy.
• Diving and snorkeling – diving is among the best in Vietnam with 1,300 species of sea life in the area, including rare dugongs and sea turtles as well as beautiful coral reefs; we can also offer full instruction for beginners – why not learn in your pool.

• Turtle Island and Bird Island – beautiful islands within easy reach.
• Turtle nesting – at certain times of year it’s possible to see turtles nesting on the beach at Hon Bay Canh or even watch the baby tortoises hatch and return to sea. Unforgettable.

• Hiking and trekking through the mangroves and mystical forests – look out for rare monkeys and black squirrels.
• Sunrise and sunset – watch dawn break over Hon Bay Canh and the sun set over Love Mountain.

How to get there:

Con Son Island, which hosts the Six Senses, is around 230-kilometres, or 145-miles, from Ho Chi Minh City and is served by Co Ong Airport. It’s a 45-minute flight by Vietnam Airlines from Ho Chi Minh City.
